The Worst of the Worst of Bush - the TRUTH!

There should be limits to freedom.

George Bush

Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President.

Theodore Roosevelt

I will make a bargain with the Republicans:
If they will stop telling lies about Democrats,
we will stop telling the truth about them.

Adlai Stevenson

Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

Hermann Goering, Hitler's Reich-Marshall at the Nuremberg Trials after WWII

(Looks like Dubya listens to some people better than others)

How "W" and his administration usually seems to work:

  1. Be bribed (oops, sorry, "lobbied" I believe is the euphamism) many hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars by a company or an industry.
  2. Come up with a really catchy marketing oriented name for the next actions that is 180 degrees reversed from what the actions will actually do ("No Child Left Behind" and "Clear Skies" come to mind).
  3. Determine how best to save the company/industry hundreds of millions of dollars by letting them get away with literally ILLEGAL, and virtually always immoral and unethical actions.
  4. Determine best how to remove all safety regulation or protection regulations so that the people, who he is supposedly representing and protecting, get shafted.
  5. Insure that laws are in place to make it illegal for those people to get legal advice or protection.
  6. Put laws into place to funnel more money into the pockets of the few at the top of the company or industry food chain.
  7. Put laws into place that allow the companies to pay virtually NO tax on these profits.
  8. Put laws into place that ensure that the richest of the rich, the top 1-5% of Americans, get hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars back every year.
  9. Make sure that those same laws tax the poor and and middle class even more, and transfer that money to the rich.
  10. Repeat ad nauseum.
  11. If the Congress or Senate object or demand that the proposal be increadible cut back, threaten, reduce funding, fire competent people, put into place industry activists into positions that should protect us AGAINST these people. Then, when FINALLY forced to do the right thing by the Congress and Senate, he boasts that it was his idea all along.
  12. Finally, he will LIE, LIE, LIE right to our faces, assuming that we are too stupid to know the difference. So far, he has fooled all of the Republicans. Luckely the rest of us are smart enough to see through it.

And another, UPDATED, Bush resume, this one with references for all of the major statements

If only he had read his daddy's memoirs...

This short quote says it all.

In his memoirs, "A World Transformed," written more than five years ago, George Bush, Sr. wrote the following to explain why he didn't go after Saddam Hussein at the end of the Gulf War.

"Trying to eliminate Saddam would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible. We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. There was no viable "exit strategy" we could see, violating another of our principles. Furthermore, we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-Cold War world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations' mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression that we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land."

If only his son could read.

George W. Bush: The President Quayle We Never Had

The last time somebody listened to a Bush, folks wandered in the desert for 40 years

Campaign spending: $184,000,000.
Having your little brother rig the election for you: Priceless.

A Re-make of the 23rd Psalm

Bush is my Shepherd, I am in want.
He maketh me to lie down on park benches.
He leadeth me by still factories.
He restoreth my doubt in the Republican Party.
He guided me in the path of the Unemployed for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of soup kitchens, I am hungry.
I do fear evil, for thou art against me;
Thy Cabinet and thy Senate, they do discomfort me;
Thou didst prepare a reduction in my wages;
In the presence of my creditors thou anointed my income with taxes,
So my expense overruneth my income.
Surely poverty and hard times will follow me
All the days of the Republican administration.
And I shall dwell in a rented house forever.

The Kennebunkport Hillbilly

(sung to the tune of The Beverly Hillbillies Theme Song)

Come and listen to my story 'bout a boy name Bush.
His IQ was zero and his head was up his tush.

He drank like a fish while he drove all about.
But that didn't matter 'cuz his daddy bailed him out.
DUI, that is. Criminal record. Cover-up.

Well, the first thing you know little Georgie goes to Yale.
He can't spell his name but they never let him fail.
He spends all his time hangin' out with student folk.
And that's when he learns how to snort a line of coke.
Blow, that is. White gold. Nose candy.

The next thing you know there's a war in Vietnam.
Kin folks say, "George, stay at home with mom."
Let the common people get maimed and scarred.
We'll buy you a spot in the Texas Air Guard.
Cushy, that is. Country clubs. Nose candy.

Twenty years later George gets a little bored.
He trades in the booze, says that Jesus is his Lord.
He said, "Now the White House is the place I wanna be."
So he called his daddy's friends and they called the GOP.
Gun owners, that is. Falwell. Jesse Helms.

Come November 7, the election ran late.
Kin folks said, "Jeb, give the boy your state!"
"Don't let those colored folks get into the polls."
So they put up barricades so they couldn't punch their holes.
Chads, that is. Duval County. Miami-Dade.

Before the votes were counted five Supremes stepped in.
Told all the voters, "Hey, we want George to win."
"Stop counting votes!" was their solemn invocation.
And that's how George finally got his coronation.
Rigged, that is. Illegitimate. No moral authority.

Y'all come vote now. Ya hear?

Pork Barrel Spending

To be fair, some or even much of this is not the Bush administration. This just goes to show how BAD the current govermental system is when it comes to this kind of thing, and how little they think of US, the citizens for whom they are supposedly working.
The federal government is giving a whole new meaning to the phrase "pork barrel spending." The Agriculture Department has announced plans to buy an extra $50 million dollars of pork, in addition to their already-scheduled meat purchases. The reason? To keep pork prices -- which are at their lowest level in 27 years, and have fallen by over 50% during the past year -- from falling any further.

What a concept. The government takes your money, then uses it to jack up your food bills.

Pork Barrel Spending - The Absurd

You are right, I am not exactly a Bush Fan. But then again, there is a lot of good information out there to help you understand why. Bush has managed to polorize the entire US, and set the entire world against us in so short a time. He has continued to lie and hide information that would expose those lies, hiding behind the presidential cloak (even though he was never elected), and pretending that the information, if exposed, would be a national threat, when in reality it would only be a threat to his presidency, and the wealth of his friends and family.

Even AFTER the Bush administration tried to influence the election by ILLEGALLY removing over 90,000 democratic voters from the election (this is a PROVEN fact), over half of the american voters decided that they did NOT want Bush elected. Since that illegal move didn't work, the Bush administration, with the help of Bush's brother Jeb, tried to steal the election by mishandling the votes cast within Florida. When even THAT didn't work (another proven fact that Gore had more votes in Florida than Bush), he had to get his Daddy to get the Supreme Court to intervene and select him as President - not a legal election, merely a selection to get Bush's son into office. Even THAT was fixed. 4 voted against Bush, 5 for Bush. But of that 5, 3 should have, no, LEGALLY HAD TO, excuse themselves for conflicts of interest, being in the direct or indirect pay or influence of the Bush family.

Truly a Banana Republic fake election of an undesirable into power to continue the shady underdealings of an already corrupt government. The people in power behind the crown needed a puppet for a figure head, a puppet that the public would like to have a beer with, but that couldn't run a company given to him by his Daddy, much less a country.

The most DIVISIVE of any president in history, Bush has pitted good people against good people with his attitude of "Either you are Republican and are with us and are holy and perfect, or you are against us and are terrorists and evil and will rot in hell".

From my experience these days, an individual blindly backing the current president, George W. Bush, bases their arguments for support of this man on heavy rhetoric yet little fact. Many choose to attack Bush's detractors rather then defend the merits of Bush's actions. For the most part, they are either intellectually dishonest or so horribly misinformed that they cannot see error in their thoughts.

As November nears, Bush-bots have dropped all logical defense of their president. Any negative comments are now only quipped by wishful rhetoric: "Bush protects us from terrorism," "George W. Bush has done more to secure the safety of this country than anyone," "He's a good Christian man," "History will show that Bush is own of our greatest leaders." Convincing, huh?

Instead of engaging in factual debate regarding the Bush administration, Bushies have taken the field to attack John Kerry and his new running mate John Edwards. Most of their arguments are solid yet they only take this position in order to avoid a debate regarding their fearless leader.

Throughout these statements, you may have noticed that I did not refer to Bush supporters as conservatives, or even of being truly on what we consider as the political right. Those poor, misled individuals who choose to stand unquestioningly by Bush are not conservatives. They are men and women who are loyal to one mere politician instead of their country. Although the Bush flock quickly rebukes dissenters as un-American, unpatriotic or traitors, they should take the time out to analyze their own loyalties.

Bush is a SHAME to the concept of democracy and a SHAM to the country, and a JOKE to the rest of the world. No, actually he is a DANGER to the rest of the world, considered by most as a more dangerous threat to world stability and peace than any other dictator out there.

Let's take just a quick look at a couple of things that come to mind as I write this up late at night...
